We keep only what we need to help you learn. Here is what we collect, why, and your choices, in simple words.
What we collect
Your name, mobile number or email, account type and language. For learners: date of birth, class or level, school and languages. Later: bookings, attendance and progress notes.
Why we collect it
To create your account, let you log in safely, match you with tutors, run classes and show progress. We never use your data for advertising.
Children
Children under 18 cannot sign up themselves. A parent or guardian adds them and must give consent, confirmed with a code sent to the parent's mobile. Until then, the child's account stays inactive.
Family members
A family member can help an adult learner only after the learner (or our team, if the learner asks) approves it. The learner can remove this at any time.
Who we share it with
Only the tutors and counsellors you book, our support team, and service providers that help us run the platform (for example SMS). We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
While your account is active. When you withdraw consent or close your account, we stop using your data and delete it, except what the law requires us to keep.
Your rights
You can download everything we hold about you, correct your details, and remove your data, all from My account. You can withdraw any consent at any time; withdrawing consent for the privacy notice closes your account, and the data is removed a month later.
Questions or complaints
Write to our grievance officer, who answers questions about your data and handles complaints: Grievance Officer, Just Learn, grievance@justlearn.co.in. We reply within 7 days and settle a complaint within 30. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
